What We Do

The Teamworx Process

whatwedoAt Teamworx, we believe that most people show up to work wanting to be a productive part of the enterprise. What sometimes interferes with our personal productivity and effectiveness as a team, are all the things that make us uniquely ourselves. Every individual on the team has a distinct set of preferences about how they communicate, frame business issues, gather information, make decisions, act on the decisions they make, and interact with their working environment. The differences in preferences between team members can often be a source of irritation and unproductive conflict.

Teamworx begins with individual preference profiles designed to provide each person on the team with an in-depth awareness of their own unique preferences related to cognition and behaviour. These individual preferences are neither good nor bad, right nor wrong, better nor worse than the preferences of any other individual on the team. Our focus is on helping each individual understand how the world works for them.

Working with the team leader, we then craft a highly customized series of working sessions designed to engage the entire team. These working sessions are designed to create an appreciation among team members for the interactions between their preferences, and illustrate how these preference combinations can contribute to the team’s ability to work effectively together.  Once we have clarity on how the team’s preferences combine to create a unique team dynamic, we can focus on accommodation, helping team members understand how to leverage their individual diversities to greater productivity.

Typically, we will work with teams for 6-12 months to clarify the dynamics in play, and establish new and more productive ways of working together.
